The Port Ann Wesleyan youth group kicked things off Saturday with a special evening celebration.

Ten youth started out in two teams of five each battling in a fun food competition involving sardines, baby food, canned spinach and a few other unsavory (yet funny) surprises.

Next came a pizza party along with tasty baked desserts made by youth Julianna (cookies) and Paige (brownies). The group watched a movie and had a powerful heart-to-heart discussion about issues they face at school and how we, as a youth group, can be more proactive in making a difference in our local community.
