The Port Ann Wesleyan Church, located at 2856 Troxelville Road, Middleburg (two miles west of Penns Creek along Troxelville Road), is offering a “More than an Egg Hunt” family drive-thru program from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the church.
Families will stay in their vehicles the entire time, and all social distancing parameters will be followed with less than 10 people from the church staffing the event.
Vehicles will be directed through the parking lot, and will stop at several stations where there will be prayer from church leaders for everyone in the car and concerns they may have, a spot where someone will distribute filled plastic Easter eggs and a goodie bag (all packaged well before the coronavirus situation shifted to the United States) to each child 12 and under in the vehicle and a station where someone will provide bagged meals to each person in the vehicle if they want one. The meals include a sandwich, apple, cookies and chips and were prepared at our church following all virus-based precautions to ensure safety, including the use of gloves and masks during the preparation and for all workers at the event. Door prizes will be awarded after the event based on registration cards received.
Ultimately, in this time of darkness and uncertainty, Port Ann Wesleyan wants to be a light for God and connect with our communities while providing prayer, provisions and inspiration. If you have any questions, please contact children’s ministry director Robin Kratzer at 570-600-3693 or email her here.
