The Port Ann Wesleyan church is slowly bringing back its various kids ministries with an eye on safety heading into the school year.
On Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 6-8 p.m., families with kids interested in the AWANA program — focusing on those entering Kindergarten through sixth grade — are encouraged to stop in for information and registration for the coming year’s worth of weekly Wednesday night programs. Also, children who were involved in last year’s AWANA can pick up awards they earned during the 2019-2020 school year.
On Wednesday, Sept. 2, this year’s AWANA program officially kicks off with games, music, Bible study and lessons, along with snack. Each Wednesday night from this date forward, the AWANA program runs from 6:45-8:15 p.m.
On Sunday, Sept. 13, children’s Sunday School classes resume at 9 a.m., with those in Kindergarten through second grade in one room and third through sixth grade in another. After Sunday school each week, adult/teen worship time is set each Sunday morning at 10 a.m., with a separate kids worship running the same time in our Fellowship Hall.
