Fall event offers major community outreach opportunity for Port Ann Wesleyan

On Sunday, Oct. 28, hundreds of people from nearby communities visited Port Ann Wesleyan for our annual Fall Family and Trunk or Treat event.

It was originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 27, but heavy rain forced a one-day postponement. It didn’t seem to affect the numbers, as the sanctuary filled quickly at 2 p.m. and there was a steady flow of people throughout the two-hour event.

It began with a short family centric service with songs, games and a lesson before families went outside to enjoy the creativiry and candy from a dozen decorated trunks. Three games, horse/pony rides, a large variety of homemade foods, a petting zoo and family hayrides added to the overall experience. One first-time visitor shared that this was the most family friendly trunk or treat event he had seen … and he had been to numerous events over the previous week.
