The Port Ann Wesleyan church welcomed more than 100 people to its annual wild game dinner, where people are welcome to bring in dishes to share. There were many wild dishes available, including moose stew, cajun crayfish and numerous venison-based foods including venison stir-fry, venison lasagna, venison bologna. A mystery meat was provided — and was announced after the fact to be fried Snakehead fish.

The speaker was Steve Yakamook, owner of Mount Airy Dale Farm near Beaver Springs, who shared an extremely personal story about loss within his family and the grace of God to try to navigate the tragic situation.

The PAW men, spearheaded by efforts by leader Jim Mulaney along with Todd Mulaney and his family, canvassed local community businesses for door prizes, and there were many to be given out to children and adults. Winning a grand prize for the 12-16 age category — an inline carbine — was Jordan Keister.

Ultimately, it was a fun evening of good food, fellowship and fun.
