The annual Port Ann Wesleyan rabbit hunt ministry was held on Jan. 21, 2023. A total of 53 hunters participated in the event, along with three helpers in the kitchen and three church members who came for fellowship. Forty-four rabbits and 10 squirrels were harvested during the morning hours and everyone returned at noon for lunch (cheeseburger and taco soups, various desserts and other goodies) and fellowship.
Of the 53 hunters, 46 were from the local community. A total of $321.75 was received in donations. The hunt was held in memory of longtime organizer Jim Mulaney, who passed away last year from complications of cancer.
