Five youth from the Port Ann Wesleyan Youth Group and two brave chaperones (Andy and Brooke Shockey) attended the annual Toonapalooza overnighter Feb. 23-24 at the Overflow Wesleyan Church in Altoona.
The event began at the Overflow church with special speaker Charlie Alcock and the worship team delivering the message. The night continued at a local rec center with swimming, basketball and a variety of other fun activities and concluded at a bowling alley.
Overall, 139 youth and 48 adults came together for worship, fellowship, fun and creating new friendships.
The next district-wide youth event will be the annual youth camp program in July at Camp Harmony near Johnstown.
