More than 70 kids savor camping adventure in late June

Nearly a dozen children, several of their friends and three adults from Port Ann Wesleyan traveled to western Pennsylvania in late June for a week-long kids camp adventure at Camp Harmony, just south of Johnstown.

The group enjoyed daily worship rallies, canoeing, rock climbing, a ropes course, geocaching, wilderness survival discussion, games, hiking, robotics, swimming and plenty of fellowship with new friends from Wesleyan churches throughout the western part of the state. Through it all, director Robin Kratzer and her team of volunteers helped sow the seeds of biblical truth and share God’s love with more than 70 kids using a Superhero theme that seemed to resonate with everyone — right up to and through a talent show on the final evening of camp.

Check out some photos from the experience below. Next year’s kids camp is slated for June 18-22, 2018, and is for children who have finished second grade through fifth grade. The theme will be “Treasure Hunters.”
