Children’s Easter outreach draws 100-plus kids to worship God, hunt eggs

The annual Port Ann Wesleyan “More Than an Egg Hunt” event drew 108 kids and 103 adults to the church on April 13.

It started with a half-hour program in the sanctuary where kids played games, sang songs and heard the story of what the Easter season is truly about. That was followed by an egg hunt on the grounds where more than 3,500 eggs were dispersed over the church property so four age groups could find eggs and the sweet treats they contained.

Lunch was served to all the families in attendance and 12 large door prizes were given out after a drawing using the children’s registration cards. A petting zoo added to the fun-filled experience.
